Wapiti Ski Club is a volunteer operated facility located in the Rocky Mountain town Elkford, British Columbia. Known as the wilderness capital of B.C., Elkford has grown from a temporary collection of homes to a town of nearly 3,000 residents.
At 1,300m above sea level, Elkford welcomes over 350cm of snow annually, making it a great location to find fresh snow.
The Valley Ski Club is a non-profit club established in 1947 by a small group of skiers that loved skiing and wished to share that love with the greater community.
Since 1956, our volunteer staff has been dedicated to providing a fun, family-friendly outdoor experience for our surrounding community and beyond through winter outdoor recreation. Our mountain is jointly owned by the towns of Jay, Livermore, and Livermore Falls.
Skeetawk is located at mile 10.6 of the Palmer-Fishhook road in the Hatcher Pass State Management area, in the Northern Government Peak Sub-Unit of the detailed 2010 Hatcher Pass Area Management Plan. The parking lot sits at about 1,450 feet above sea level and our new beginner (triple seat) chair for runs about 1,250′ long and has a vertical gain of about 300 feet, giving us access to about 30 skiable acres.
