The ski area is located 16 miles south of Bismarck/Mandan, ND., along the western slope of the Missouri River. Huff Hills offers skiing and snowboarding in a great family environment. The beginner area features family friendly terrain, and SnowSchool instructors are usually available to provide lessons. The ski area usually opens between Thanksgiving and the first weekend of December, depending on the weather. In a typical season we are open until the second or third week in March.

Founded as “Hickory Hill” in 1945 by veterans of the famed ski troops of the American 10th Mountain Division, Hickory has stood like a sentinel on the banks of the Hudson River for almost 70 years. The spot – at the confluence of the Schroon and Hudson Rivers under the dominating presence of a sheer rock massif – is amongst the most beautiful in the Adirondacks.

Medicine Lodge Ski Hill is a volunteer, not for profit organization, run by volunteers who love to ski and enjoy the great outdoors. The hill offers 11 runs for various skill levels, a t-bar and a beginners lift. The Ski Hill is located in the picturesque hills of Lacombe County near Bentley, Alberta

We also offer the region's only snow tubing hill that features 11 groomed lanes, a warming hut, portable bathroom and snacks & beverages. Snowstar also provides a cozy, rustic atmosphere inside The Lodge, where a full line of prepared food & beverages are available for purchase. Peak's Tavern downstairs is another pub-style option.
