Mt Shasta Ski Park prides itself with an extensive snowmaking system which can cover up to 277 acres out of a total of 425 acres with man-made snow. This helps to complement the natural snow fall in key areas throughout the Ski Park. In the beginning of the season an artificial snow is commonly used to create a great base because the artificial snow crystals are denser making the snow last longer.
